Pink and blue lights remember lost babies

The Isle of Wight Council will light up a memorial chalet at the Crematorium, in pink and blue to remember babies who have died, as part of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

The national awareness week runs from October 9 to 15, bringing together families and communities affected by pregnancy and baby loss.

The Angel’s Rest chalet, in the Crematorium’s Baby Garden, will be illuminated throughout the week as a symbol of remembrance and support.

A national Wave of Light will take place on October 15, when families are encouraged to light a candle at home at 7pm in memory of their babies.

Free tealight candles will be available to collect from the Angel’s Rest chalet, allowing Island families to take part.
