Freshwater Parish Council has installed new play equipment at Stroud Recreation Ground, and children from the local primary school were invited to test it all out.
The play area includes a wide range of activities carefully designed to promote physical activity, balance and co-ordination, offering children the chance to develop key skills while having fun outdoors.
The happy faces of Freshwater & Yarmouth Primary School pupils exploring the equipment showed how popular the improved space is proving to be.
Kirsty Gibson, clerk to Freshwater Parish Council, said: “We’re thrilled to see the new play equipment being enjoyed by the community. It’s been a real priority for us to provide safe, exciting outdoor spaces, where young people can be active and social. The laughter and smiles we’ve seen shows just how important this investment is.”
The project is part of Freshwater Parish Council’s ongoing commitment to supporting families and improving public spaces for the benefit of the wider community.
Headteacher, Mrs Elizabeth Grainger, added: “We are delighted to see the new facilities in place for the children in Freshwater. The children were so excited to try out the new equipment! We are so grateful to Freshwater Parish Council for their investment for the children.”
