The award-winning Travellers’ Joy, Northwood, will have new landlords from October 4.
As previously reported, Pete and Sam Booth are stepping down due to ill health. But Katie Brown and Dave Wells will now take over the pub, which has won the Island’s Pub of the Year award for the last three years.
For the last nine months they have been in charge of The Pavilion, Gurnard Pines, having moved to the Island from Leicestershire. They said on Facebook: “We would like to thank everyone who has supported us; it’s been amazing.
“We would also like to officially announce that on October 4, we will be the landlord and landlady of the Travellers’ Joy. We are very grateful to have been given the chance to take over from Pete and Sam, whose shoes are going to be hard to fill as they have done an amazing job.”
