New community project between Wight Military and Soldier On!

The Wight Military and Heritage Museum, located in Northwood, has announced that it will be working on a community project with Soldier On! a charity concerned with the improvement of individual’s personal circumstances.

Steve Taylor, CEO of the museum said, “I am excited to be working with Soldier On! to strengthen our community ties, which is a key part of the museum’s mission.”

Soldier On! is a registered charity, it’s aim is to provide a programme of personal development to individuals who are vulnerable, disadvantaged or socially-isolated. It’s ultimate goal is to secure opportunities for these individuals within education, volunteering or employment.

The project is expected to be conducted over the period of a month with a team of 5-6 participants. It will comply with all social distancing protocols and Government regulations.
