New chapter for Cowes clinic

Cowes Chiropractic Clinic has returned to Island ownership, after around six years under mainland control, with ambitious plans to transform the long‑established Birmingham Road practice into one of the Isle of Wight’s leading health and rehabilitation hubs. And the message to existing patients is simple: no change, only additions.

The clinic’s existing team and core treatments will continue as normal, but work has already begun on a significant expansion of services. The clinic currently offers chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage, full‑body rehabilitation, sports therapy, acupuncture, ultrasound therapy, and more. Osteopathy has now been added to the list, with experienced practitioner, Steve Mann, joining the team as part of the first phase of growth.

The longer‑term ambition is to create a comprehensive Island health hub, bringing a wide range of practitioners and treatments together under one roof.

“Cowes Chiropractic Clinic already has a fantastic team, a loyal patient base, and a strong reputation built up over many years,” said Charlie Panayi. “We haven’t bought it because we want to change all of that – quite the opposite. Our message from the beginning has been: no change, only additions.”

Expansion has already moved beyond the clinic’s traditional musculoskeletal focus. Regular free skin‑check clinics will now be hosted in partnership with Zoe’s Law and The Lighthouse Clinic, with the first session taking place on Tuesday, October 13, and further clinics planned every eight weeks.

Charlie said the skin‑check clinics demonstrate the wider vision: “It’s about looking at the premises, the team, and the thousands of people we already have a relationship with, and asking how we can make more high‑quality healthcare available to Islanders.”

More services and practitioners are expected to be announced soon. “This isn’t a short‑term project,” Charlie added. “We have a clear vision for what Cowes Chiropractic Clinic can become, and the next few years are going to be incredibly exciting.”
