‘Murdered to Death’ is at Shanklin Theatre

The cast warming up for their appearance at Shanklin Theatre

You’re invited to Bagshot Manor, the home of wealthy widow Mildred Bagshot and her orphaned niece, Dorothy. They’re looking forward to a weekend with old friends, but a murderer has other ideas.

It gets worse. The police are so short-staffed they’ve sent the world’s worst detective: the aptly-named Inspector Pratt.

Fortunately, perhaps, there is help at hand in the form of an interfering busybody called Miss Maple. She decides to join the house party, completing a gathering of dysfunctional characters who manage to get through the door despite the attentions of Bunting – possibly the world’s worst butler. But it seems the murderer isn’t quite finished.

Will the killer be unmasked before everyone has met their doom, or will Pratt’s incompetence finish everyone off? See if you can do better than him (it shouldn’t be difficult) when the Pepperpot Players present the hilarious murder mystery spoof, Murdered to Death, at Shanklin Theatre from Monday (August 28) to Wednesday evenings, with a matinee on Tuesday.

Tickets are £10. Book online at iow.life/murderedtodeath, or call 01983 868000.
