Mark joins the top team

Lawdit Solicitors has appointed a new director, 36-year-old Mark Reed, who says he “cannot wait” to see what the future brings.

Islander Mark lived with his mother and three brothers in Newport before he met his wife, Kerrie.
Mark’s upbringing made him an unlikely lawyer, working in numerous odd jobs before leaving school and training as a plumber. He said: “Law was never an option in my mind, not to people from my background. Being a solicitor seemed way out of my reach, even more so after I had a family. But I was inspired and encouraged by various people and eventually took a leap of faith and went to university to study law.”

Mark now runs Lawdit’s Island office in Newport. He added: “I am proud of my achievements and so grateful to everyone that has helped me over the years, especially Kerrie and my three children. It has been a rollercoaster few years, but I cannot wait for the future.”

Michael Coyle, Lawdit’s founder said “I am thrilled that Mark has accepted the role; he is a good man with a lovely family. He has been with me since he started work experience 8 years ago and is an asset to the firm. We are looking forward to putting his ideas into practice and building on the current growth of the firm.”

Mark and Michael are both committed to the Island and helping Islanders and are opening a legal advice clinic to help those in need. Michael added: “We are approachable and fair, so give us a call and we can grab a coffee and see how we can help.”
