Male Voice Choir receive St Blasius standing ovation

The Newchurch Male Voice Choir recently gave their Summer Serenade performance at St Saviour’s in Shanklin.

Their singing was interspersed with performances from the First Act Theatre Group, a group for people with learning disabilities. The performances received a standing ovation from the audience.

The church was then filled with the beautiful sound of the oboe as Donna Brihmani performed several numbers. A wonderful evening of entertainment and enjoyment resulted in over £700 being raised by a collection and raffle.

The proceeds will be split between the Choir and First Act, which will enable them to continue entertaining audiences and raising even more money for Island charities and good causes.
