Bembridge came alive with more than 80 stalls, hundreds of visitors and alternative street food during Street Fayre ‘23 on Monday.
Possibly the country’s oldest independent street fayre celebrated its 68th event, and Jay Chapman, owner of the Olde Village Inn, one of the organisers, said: “It was an excellent majestic day!
“There were so many stalls from flowers, games, woodcraft and antiques.
“The alternative street food was really popular with queues building up, all washed down with some beer, teas and coffees.
“It will definitely happen again next year on May 27.
“Special mention should go to the ‘OVi Black Shirt Brigade’ and main sponsors, Hose Rhodes Dickson, as well as all our fabulous volunteers and neighbours.”
