Mad Hatter’s tea party raises funds at Café 62

A fund-raising Mad Hatter’s Tea Party was held at the new Café 62 in Newport High Street, last Thursday.

The cafe is being run by Osel Enterprises Ltd (Outstanding Support, Education and Learning), a local charity supporting people with learning disabilities, mental health challenges and other lived experience.

Tracey Hill, chief executive of Osel, said: “Everyone dressed up as characters from the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. All money raised will go towards a Valentine’s Day event for Way Forward at the New Holmwood in Cowes. It was lovely to see so many here.

“Hopefully, doing this event will raise awareness for the café and bring more people in here to see what we are trying to achieve.”

Café 62 is open Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.
