Discarded tents and sleeping bags left behind after last weekend’s IW Festival have been salvaged and will be repurposed by homelessness charity, Emmaus Hertfordshire, in partnership with humanitarian group Herts for Refugees.
A team from Emmaus, based in St Albans, will support Herts for Refugees in its annual post-festival clean-up, helping to collect items for redistribution to vulnerable people in the UK and abroad.
Last year, the team collected 260 tents and 150 sleeping bags. This year marks the fourth time the charities have worked together at the IW Festival.
