The Sun Inn, Calbourne, has presented a cheque for £1,000 to the local RSPCA shelter, following a series of weekly quizzes.
Landlord Pete Greenhalgh said: “Since myself and business partner, Jake Rigby, took over at the Sun Inn last May, it has been a keen objective for us to keep the pub running for the benefit of local charities.
“Our Wednesday evening quiz has been a fund-raiser for the local RSPCA shelter, in conjunction with the Towrags Trike & Bike Club, who have been with us throughout 2023.
“We are delighted to have presented a cheque to the IW RSPCA for £1,000. The quiz will continue into 2024 as it has become a fantastic community staple here at The Sun, and we will be continuing to raise money for important causes serving the Island.”
