Island community is celebrated in awards

The Third Vectis Radio Community Awards took place at Caffe Isola, on Friday, with Carol Court, of Ability Dogs 4 Young People, being crowned Overall Community Hero.

A Vectis Radio spokesman said: “What a truly magical evening it was! To all the nominees, you are all winners in our eyes.

“Being surrounded by so many incredible individuals who are the heartbeat of our community was nothing short of inspirational.

“A huge congratulations to Maggie Currie for another outstanding event, and heartfelt thanks to staff and her fantastic team at Café Isola for their wonderful hospitality. To everyone who played a part in making the evening so special – thank you! Your passion and dedication continue to make our community shine.”
