A woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer in a cafe.
The Hideaway Cafe saw police attend on Sunday (September 9) at around 9.40pm following reports of an assault in which members of staff, customers and a police officer were said to have been victims of.
A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Police were called to The Hideaway cafe at St Boniface Cliff Road, Shanklin, at around 9.40pm, following reports the woman was acting aggressively.
“The 33-year-old Shanklin woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and assaulting a police officer.
“She remains in custody.”
