Ventnor Community Foodbank is looking for volunteers to join its Tuesday and Thursday teams to meet and greet customers, stack shelves, stock take and prepare food parcels.
The foodbank is getting busier, and fed 132 people last month, 86 adults and 36 children. For more information phone Tony (07932 890670), or email: tony@ventnortowncouncil.org.uk.
The charity currently needs tinned meat, fish and vegetables, coffee, toiletries, sanitary products and dog and cat food. Items can be dropped off at its donation points, which include the Co-op, Carnaby Tea Rooms, St Catherine’s Church, and Norris Stores in Niton.
