FOCAS Fest – Focus on Conservation and Science Festival – is returning to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary this weekend, after its successful debut in 2023, and this year it is part of the inaugural Biosphere Festival.
The motivation behind FOCAS Fest is to bring to life conservation and science in a fun and imaginative way, by creating a day out for the whole family as they engage with interactive exhibits. Visitors will be able to explore a range of topics, enabling them to connect with nature, and, most importantly, helping them understand how they can make a difference to the natural world.
To ensure that all children have access to FOCAS Fest, the Sanctuary is offering a discounted admission ticket price of £2.50 per person, which includes full access to the Sanctuary and all its rescue animals, daily talks and feeds. There will be two sessions available on both Saturday and Sunday, 9.30am to 1pm or 1.30pm to 5pm.
Zeb Fisher, the Sanctuary’s learning and discovery manager, said: “I’m so excited to bring this wonderful festival back to the Wildheart Animal Sanctuary for 2024. Last year we saw fantastic levels of engagement from all our visitors with more than 20 exhibitors, and this year promises to be even bigger and better. I can’t wait to captivate the imagination of all young people with the beauty of our natural world!”
Tickets are available on-line via iw.observer/focusfest.
