Next Saturday (July 5) sees the return of the Independent Living Show (formerly the Older Person’s Good Living Show), sponsored by Right at Home IW and supported by Age UK IW.
Now in its third year, the Independent Living Show showcases businesses, charities and services that support independent living at home for longer.
There will be more than 40 stallholders this year, offering support and guidance across areas such as food, well-being, podiatry, finance, fitness, gardening and more. Visitors can find information, enjoy demos, pick up freebies, and connect with organisations offering a wide range of helpful services.
Southern Vectis will be on-site with a bus, and Wight Horse CIC will be providing equine therapy demonstrations. There is also a licensed café serving hot and cold food, drinks and ice cream, with plenty of seating available overlooking the countryside.
Entry is free, and each attendee will receive an Information Directory to take home. The first 500 guests will also receive a goody bag. A raffle will be held during the day with a selection of prizes up for grabs.
Right at Home is an award-winning home care business, providing support to help clients live safely and confidently at home. Services include companionship, personal care and more.
They hope to see lots of people at the show and provide the community with information, support, and a fun day out.
This year’s Independent Living Show takes place at GG’s Island Riding Centre in Newport. Doors are open from 11am to 3pm. Ample parking is available on-site, and well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
