A fashion show organised by Ryde businesses Bellissima and Sugar & Spice Lingerie has raised nearly £1,700 for Daisy Chains Isle of Wight Children’s Charity.
More than 140 people attended the event, at Ryde Castle Hotel, which showed spring and summer fashions.
Daisy Chains supports Island premature babies and children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Funding goes towards cross-Solent travel and accommodation, as well as equipment and therapy.
Mandy Fuller and Kellie Lawrence, fund-raising managers from Daisy Chains, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you, to Tina Lettington and Sheila Wilson, from the two shops for supporting us with their fashion show. It was a fantastic event which raised a huge £1,696 for us.
“The funds will be used to help many Island families with children needing support.”
The audience were treated to an Absolutely Fabulous opening routine, along with compering and entertainment from Short N Sweet Duo, and around 100 outfits comprising summer casual and best dress clothing, lingerie, swimwear and nightwear.
The bi-annual event is hugely popular, and Sheila Wilson, from Sugar & Spice, added: “Yet again, we sold out of tickets. We are so grateful to all our lovely customers who attended to raise money.”
Tina Lettington, from Bellissima, added: “We have helped several Island charities over the past few years, raising thousands of pounds. We have already started planning for autumn.”
