Mark your calendar for the upcoming Going Electric event, returning to the IW College at the end of the month, with even more to see and do following its successful debut in 2022. As the Island’s premier electric vehicle (EV) and green technology show, you can learn everything you need to know about going green.
Prepare to be impressed by the latest car models showcased by Leslies Motor Group, Esplanade, Premier Motors, Central Garage, Snows, Harwoods, EV Express, and Nixon Automotive. You’ll have the chance to explore electric vans and test ride cutting-edge e-bikes from Wight Bike, CycleWight, Keert, and mobility charity, Isle Access. Engage in informative discussions with EV owners during the “Meet the Owner” sessions and discover first-hand the advantages of EVs in their lives, including insights into the latest Teslas, all sponsored by PC Consultants.
With around 40 trade stands, you can gather valuable information on EV charging infrastructure, renewable energy solutions, marine innovations, and eco-friendly home ideas. The IW College’s impressive EV rig and vehicle will be showcased, providing an opportunity to delve into the future of training and career prospects in this rapidly expanding industry. EVO Driver Training and My Collectables will also be present, presenting their remarkable electric motorbikes.
Experts will deliver talks on various subjects, including Electric Transport, Home Electric Innovation, and The Big Picture, sponsored by Red Funnel. When you need a moment to relax and recharge, treat yourself to delicious refreshments from the WI, Island Tea & Coffee, and Plaza Ices – who will be there in their new all-electric ice cream van.
