Cross-country races for Ryde Harriers

Alison Critchley

Over a January weekend and the last two weekends of February, Ryde Harriers held their Cross-Country Series.

Runners compete over a muddy and challenging 10km (6 mile) course, which runs from Smallbrook Stadium, across footpaths towards Harding Shute and West Lane, then a loop around the private land of Nunwell estate, then returning the same way, a total of 44 runners taking part in the three races.

The next Ryde Harriers races are Newport to Ryde on Easter Saturday, and West Wight 3 Hills. For details see iw.observer/races.
