Police are warning people to keep an eye on their notes after a number of reports of counterfeit currency being in circulation across the Isle of Wight.
A spokesperson for the police said on social media: “We have been made aware there are counterfeit £20 notes circulating on the island today. We have had at least 7 reports so far.
“If you are taking money please ensure you check it and report any fake notes to us.”
