Several IW Council services will be temporarily affected during the IW Festival, which runs from Friday, June 20 to Sunday, June 22.
Seaclose Office in Newport will close at 12 noon on Thursday, June 19 and partially reopen on Monday, June 23, with full public access resuming on Tuesday, June 24. Parking will be limited to the grassed area at the entrance to Seaclose Park.
The Register Office Marriage Room will temporarily relocate to County Hall from Friday to Saturday, with ceremonies returning to Seaclose on Monday. Face-to-face appointments with the registrar will not be available from midday Thursday to Saturday, but telephone services remain open on 823233.
The Coroner’s Office will also close to in-person visitors from Thursday, June 19 and reopen on Tuesday, June 24. Telephone enquiries will still be taken on 823010.
Planning Services, including Building Control, will be closed to the public from Thursday lunchtime through Monday. The usual Wednesday drop-in will not be held on June 18.
1Leisure Medina will close at 2pm on Thursday, June 19, and reopen at 6am on Monday. The Heights in Sandown and Westridge in Ryde remain open.
Waste collections will continue as normal, but Fairlee Road residents are asked to place waste out by 6.30am.
Newport Cemetery will be accessible only via The Quay steps, with blue badge parking and restricted entry in place.
