By Isle of Wight ObserverAn industrial fridge abandoned on a beach has been removed.
Stag Lane Motors retrieved the fridge from Whale Chine Beach on Tuesday (September 11).
Concerned Islanders had been planning a dramatic removal attempt using boats and other vehicles.
The fridge was first seen on the cliffs of Whale Chine as far back as May and had since made its way onto the beach.
The fridge was believed to be on land owned by Crown Estates according to Isle of Wight Council and therefore was not removed by them.
