Aunt Sally and Worzel Gummidge welcomed residents and visitors to a community garden party at St Mary’s Church Hall and Garden, in Brading.
The Residents’ Association has organised a scarecrow festival, with entries including Wallace and Gromit in the local stocks, and many surprises en route, including a scarecrow choir. The scarecrows will be on show until Tuesday, September 10.
The garden party had stalls, bric-a-brac, teddy bear raffle and entertainment. Community events continue, with Abbey Bass performing a fund-raising late summer concert from 7.30pm, in St Mary’s Church on Saturday.
