Just over £900 was raised from a Macmillan coffee morning, hosted by Freshwater Conservative Club on Friday.
As well as the teas and coffees, members of the Club and local people provided a wide selection of home-made cakes to be sold. There was also a Tombola, with more than £800-worth of prizes, donated from local businesses and individuals, the top one being a meal for two, with wine, in the Albion Hotel.
The event raised £900.36 for Macmillan Cancer Trust.
