Briary Court residents support cancer charity

The table of raffle prizes

A Macmillan Coffee Morning held at Briary Court, in Cowes, on September 25 raised £460, to help the charity provide physical, emotional, and financial support for people affected by cancer.

The raffle raised £293 with 33 prizes, including from resident, Ian, who donated wine and beer from his 75th birthday party, and a handpainted goldfinch from Barrie and Kath’s son.

Organiser, Michael Guy, thanked all the residents who donated prizes and bought tickets, and Island businesses who also supported the event by donating prizes. He also praised residents Mollie, Kath, Angie and Megan for supplying copious amounts of tea and cake, and Barry and Michael for putting out the chairs and tables.
