Two Island charities have benefitted from the weekly car boot sale at Calbourne Recreation Centre over the past year.
Cheques were presented to Sight for Wight, which provides information and support to visually impaired Islanders and their families and Daisy Chains IW which supports families with children who have a disability, long term health needs or a life-limiting condition.
Organisers said: “We would like to thank all our buyers for their kind generosity in donating to our chosen charities this year. We raised a total of £2,387.16, with each charity receiving £1,193.58. We have been raising money for charity for the past 11 years and have now reached a grand total of £27,000.
“We hope to see you all at our car boot sales next year.”
