Bike reported stolen during robbery in Ryde

Police are appealing for information following a report that an 18-year-old man had his bike stolen by a man he did not know in Ryde.

The incident happened in George Street, shortly after midnight on July 22.

The victim pursued the man on foot as he rode off on the bike.

During this time, the victim also flagged down a small red car for assistance.

The man on the stolen bike was last seen in the vicinity of LA Bowl in Ryde. He is described as:

  • White
  • Aged 45-50
  • Short dark hair peppered with grey
  • Between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 9ins tall
  • Wearing camouflage shorts and a T-shirt

Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident, and in particular they would like the driver and the occupants of the small red car to contact police about what they saw.

In addition, police would also like to hear from anyone who has seen the blue Voodoo Hoodoo bike pictured, or has been offered it for sale in suspicious circumstances.
