Wessex Cancer Rainbow & bubble Run 40th Anniversary.

By Press Release Jul 25, 2021

More than 700 people took part in the ‘Rainbow Run – Bubble Fun’ at Sandown Airport to raise around £26,000 for the Island branch of Wessex Cancer Trust on Sunday.

The 3km course included inflatable’s, powder paint and, new this year, two bubble stations – in celebration of Wessex Cancer Trust’s 40th birthday year.
Lorraine White, the charity’s Regional Fundraising Manager, said: “We’re always blown away by the popularity of Rainbow Run and, yet again, Isle of Wight families and businesses came out in full force to support Wessex Cancer Trust on what must’ve been the hottest day of the year so far!

“Despite the intense heat, everyone came away with a smile on their face, and a coating of rainbow-coloured paint!
“Even in these uncertain times, Islanders continue to go above and beyond to raise money for us and we are always wowed by everyone’s efforts and generosity.
“We have supported local families living with cancer for the past 40 years and your support will help us continue to be here for the next 40. Thank you, so much.”

The event was sponsored by Arid Design and Management Consultants.
