Visit Britain’s 2020 Tourism Superstar and Hovertravel team member, Lorry Middleton has been proudly displaying Hovertravel’s official Visit Britain We’re Good to Go certification.
Loretta Lale, Head of Commercial at Hovertravel, explains: “Who better than Lorry, voted by the Great British public as this year’s tourism superstar, to tell the world that Hovertravel has achieved this new certification. Hovertravel already had a robust safety-first culture and during this national emergency we used a rigorous risk assessment approach to develop protocols which protect our passengers and our people.
The We’re Good To Go standard further endorses our precautionary actions and gives customers even greater confidence that the Hovertravel experience can still be enjoyed as people start to travel more.”
We’re Good To Go is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. Visit Britain has seen over 4,800 applications for the new standard since its launch last week.
Loretta adds: “For those customers who are looking to venture across the Solent, they can see this quality mark and be re-assured that Hovertravel has been assessed to a nationally recognised industry standard.”
