Wedding bells were on the minds of hundreds of couples, who attended the Wedding Showcase, at East Afton Farmhouse, on Sunday. The event saw lovebirds exploring an array of wedding options in the stunning venue, as they looked for inspiration for their big day.
More than 80 exhibitors were ready and willing to discuss bringing dream weddings to life and treated visitors to delicious samples, including gourmet food, drinks, and intricately-designed wedding cakes. Brides-to-be could browse through breath-taking dresses, promising to make them feel stunning on their big day, while Island businesses showcased wedding essentials — from décor and florals to unique entertainment ideas.
One of the more unusual exhibitors was Adam, from AdamArt Caricatures, whose talent for creating quick and quirky likenesses, attracted lots of attention and queues for a very personal memento of the day.
In many ways the star of the show was 18th century East Afton Farmhouse itself. The venue is one of the Island’s top wedding destinations, blending rustic charm and modern amenities. Capable of hosting up to 200 guests, it offers an elegant backdrop for weddings and other celebrations.
