TV and stand-up comedian, Chris McCausland, who is blind, took time out from his theatre show to present a specially-produced scan and listened to QR codes, to enable greater accessibility to Shanklin Theatre and Eastern Gardens in Sandown.
Chris’s show had the audience laughing from start to finish, and he promised to return to Shanklin next year. However, fans won’t need to wait to be entertained by Chris, as he is on the topical news quiz ‘Have I Got News For You’ tonight on BBC1.
Recently named Coronation Champion and Sight for Wight trustee, Ruth Hollingshead, helped provide the audio descriptions for the accessibility aids and has helped provide similar amenities across the Island.
