Ryde Town Council have announced a new partnership with Department to provide much-needed public toilet facilities in the heart of the town.
Department have offered to open their toilets to the public and Ryde Town Council will provide the daily cleaning services.
The toilets will initially be open Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 6pm which will extend to 6 days a week in High Season (Tuesday to Sunday).
Access to the toilets is via the Department’s side entrance which can be reached through the Co-op car park or via the alleyway in Cross Street.
There are accessible toilets on both the ground floor and on the first floor next to the café.
Department’s Sharon George, said: “Shademakers are delighted to work with Ryde Town Council to open our toilets to the public as part of our commitment to being a safe, welcoming space for the whole community in the heart of the High Street. Whether you’re popping in to use one of our loos, taking part in one of our workshops, seeing a show, visiting the exhibition, checking out our shop or going to the café, Department is a space for everyone!”
