TG Jones, formerly WH Smith in Ryde High Street, is to close for good next year. The closure of the stationary store on January 9, follows the implementation of a court-approved restructuring plan.
A spokesman confirmed: “As we work to secure the long-term future of TG Jones, we have confirmed that our Ryde shop will close. We know this will be disappointing news for our colleagues, customers, and the local community.
“Our focus now is on supporting those affected and continuing to serve customers throughout the closure period.”
Owner, Modella, is set to close 150 of the retail chain’s 450 shops under its restructuring plans. There has been no confirmation of the future of the Newport store.
