A ‘super heroes’ quiz at the Hideaway, Shanklin, has helped raise more than £350 for a Cambodia school project.

The project was first set up around eight years ago, by Steve Marsh, who owns TJ’s Gym & Fitness Centre, Sandown. His pal, Jason Moore, got involved with his son and Jaren Bathrooms business partner, Jake, last year to raise funds for the school.

Jason said: “Steve started raising money for the school, and myself and Jake started to help last year. We went out to Cambodia and extended the school property, bought some equipment and serviced a water tower which Steve first built in 2023.

“The extension will help to accommodate three teachers, some of whom are travelling 60km on a scooter to work each day.

“Everything we do is self-funded, and we pay our own way, so any money we raise goes straight to the school.

“The quiz was a great evening, with lots of our friends and family attending, and everyone was dressed up. It was organised by my wife, Karen, and raised a total of £356.”
