Steampunk’s Island debut later this month

A first for the Island comes to Ryde later this month: The IW Steampunk Festival.

Immerse yourself in a realm where Victorian elegance meets futuristic innovation, and celebrates an unique blend of art, culture and style. Experience a weekend of eccentric fashion, mesmerising performances, live music, creative workshops, and captivating entertainment, over the weekend of September 20-22.

Unleash your inner adventurer and embrace the magic of this unique event in the Victorian town of Ryde. Whether a seasoned steampunk aficionado, or a curious newcomer, the IW Steampunk Festival promises a memorable experience filled with camaraderie creativity. A variety of family fun will be on display, including traditional steampunk activities – teapot racing and tea duelling.

Whilst it is fun to do so, you do not have to dress up in steampunk costumes to attend the festival.

Keep an eye out for next week’s edition of the IW Observer, where we will be giving away a handful of VIP tickets to the festival.
