The Isle of Wight Steam Railway’s Island Steam Fair Extravaganza returns to Havenstreet this weekend, for four days of entertainment, arena displays, and vintage attractions.
Now in its 51st year, the popular event runs from today (Friday) to Monday (August 31), with children admitted free.
The main arena will feature stunt acts, heavy traction engines, and ‘Dog and Duck’ displays, while visitors can also see historic road rollers and showman’s engines.
A collection of classic cars, military vehicles, motorbikes, and vintage tractors will also be on display throughout the weekend.
The heritage fairground will offer traditional gallopers and old-fashioned games, including a shooting gallery and coconut shies, while visitors can enjoy unlimited steam train rides through the Island countryside.
Live bands will perform on the music stage, with a real ale bar and local food stalls also available.
Visitors can also explore the indoor Train Story Discovery Centre, which covers 150 years of railway history, through interactive exhibits.
