STAR LETTER: Rearranging the deckchairs

Dear Editor,

Things only go from bad to worse for the Government.

When you look at the list of U-turns, the dire state of unemployment and the mess with the hospitality sector, the prospect of the promised growth gets further in the distance.

Within the country’s problems mentioned there is a consistent theme, and I’m sorry to say it is the Chancellor.

Do we not have someone with a better understanding of basic economics in the Government who can sort the mess out and avoid the continuing U-turns?

So before reshuffling the cabinet like the chairs on the Titanic, perhaps an initial change of Chancellor might help.
