Dear Editor,
Godshill Primary School was running at a loss, so they sold the pre-school part of the school to a private company. The staff were not informed until after the deal was done.
Some of this was allegedly going on under the radar of school governors.
The pre-school staff were told they would be OK and given roles in the main school, then told later that actually no, they won’t be, and job losses will happen. On January 30 (today) pre-school and teaching assistants will find out whether they have a job or not! The staff have been given a drip effect of information.
Those involved are stressed about pending dismissals and lack of information. Not professional, respectful or decent to all the loyal staff at the school who are dedicated to the children they care for and nurture.
