An eclectic evening, of folk, sea shanties, blues, and gospel, raised £1,167 for the Community Spirited Café following a sell-out event in East Cowes.
The inaugural Yuletide Folkies night took place at East Cowes Town Hall, with a capacity audience enjoying performances from three local groups. The line-up featured The Anywhens, Second Time Around, and hosts, East Cowes Shanty.
Organisers said the event was warmly received and it is hoped Yuletide Folkies will become an annual tradition.
Funds raised on the night will support the Community Spirited Café’s work in East Cowes, including social, bereavement, and dementia groups, as well as its community pantry, which is currently serving 500 people.
