By Isle of Wight ObserverIsland’s only rider goes clear in show jumping event at Osborne House.
Sarah Holmes, 27, an event rider from Rookley, has completed the show jumping event without knocking anything down.
Miss Holmes was riding Greenvale Coriado owned by Caroline Ross in the event at the Osborne Horse Trials on Wednesday (July 25) just after 12pm.
Only two other competitors have managed to go clear with Miss Holmes.
This is the first time that Miss Holmes hasn’t had to take her horses off the Island for an eventing competition.
Miss Holmes previously said of the horse: “I’ve got Greenvale Coriado who is owned by Caroline Ross. I’ve had him for about five maybe six years now. He came to me having not done a lot in the field and he’s come on is really enjoying his eventing.”
Miss Holmes was in 9th place after dressage event earlier with cross country to follow this afternoon.
Greenvale Coriado was in 8th position after the dressage event.
Sweden's Ludwig Svennerstal in 1st and 3rd places after showjumping in opening class of London Capital & Finance Osborne Horse Trials on the Isle of Wight. Leading Brits are Emily Baldwin in 2nd and Oliver Townend, 4th.
