Sandown Rotarian president, Ian Fletcher, joined with other Island Rotarians to support local business Brown’s Golf, as well as continue the recruitment campaign for new members, following successful summer events at the Garlic Festival and Wolverton Manor Garden Fair.
Ian said: “Rotary is very much rooted in the local community, with a global outlook, and a membership of volunteers that put service before self.”
Rotary has a worldwide membership of 1.4 million, in 35,000 clubs, in over 200 countries, and both the Sandown and National Rotary websites have details of how to join.
Ian concluded: “Rotary embraces people from all walks of life and, while we support countless Island organisations, we also help others that are in need or require assistance.”
