Two Island brothers will be appearing on the BCC’s Repair Shop today (Friday 30th March). Max and Joe Fallone, who live in Furze Hill Road, Shanklin will walk through the famous barn doors into a workshop full of expert craftsmen and women. They will be carrying with them a treasured trophy presented to their dad, Ray who, on reaching 100 professional fights, was admitted into Boxing’s Hall of Fame, fighting British champions Pat McCormack and Des Morrison in his career.
Silversmith Brenton West takes on the challenge of repairing the unusual timepiece in the shape of a boxing ring, awarded to Ray for his services to boxing.
