Hovertravel is continuing to run special late-night services, to help Isle of Wight Portsmouth FC supporters get home after selected evening matches at Fratton Park.
The charters, arranged with the Isle of Wight Pompey Supporters Club, include a dedicated coach from Fratton Park to Hovertravel’s Southsea terminal, followed by a late-night hovercraft crossing to Ryde.
The service means Island supporters can stay until the final whistle without having to arrange their own transport across Portsmouth or miss the last regular crossing. For the currently advertised late home fixture, the coach is due to leave Goldsmith Avenue at 10pm, with the hovercraft departing Southsea at 10.15pm.
Hovertravel has also introduced a late penalties guarantee. If a match goes to a penalty shootout, the coach and hovercraft will wait so supporters can watch the conclusion before travelling home.
Hovertravel has also confirmed the return of its Match Day Flyer for the 2026/27 season, offering supporters a dedicated fare between the Island and Portsmouth on home match days.
