Northwood House is THE place to be for Cowes Week

The start of Cowes Week 2024 is only two weeks away, and it remains one of the busiest and most popular events of summer on the Island. As usual, the town will be bustling with visitors enjoying the unique atmosphere and vibrant hospitality, with lots to see and do.

Rejuvenated Northwood House has become a favourite social destination during Cowes Week, over the last decade, and this year boasts perhaps the best entertainment programme of the week for visitors to enjoy. The venue’s busy Lawn Bar is certainly a magnet during the afternoons and evenings, where people come to meet and have fun with friends and family providing a relaxed haven away from the bars and venues in the town where people can come to eat and drink.

Lawn Bar evenings are packed with great entertainment. including several exclusive ticketed events this year, with top tribute bands from the mainland circuit. Fleetwood Bac play the Lawn Bar Stage on Saturday, July 27, and are renowned as the UK’s top tribute to the legendary Fleetwood Mac. On Wednesday, July 31, revellers can enjoy the excellent Ultra ’90s VR 2000 Experience, taking time from their UK tour to play dance hits from the era, with an amazing full band, and is sure to be a sell-out on the night.

However, most days and nights are free to enter, including on the “Super Sunday” (July 28) which sees Elton John tribute “Utmost Elton” play at teatime in a packed day’s programme.

The Epic Friday Night Party (August 2), sponsored by Mermaid Gin, and Henri Lloyd is certainly one not to miss, with free entry subject to capacity before 8pm. The incredible Chic to Chic will be playing live in an amazing tribute to the music of Nile Rogers and Chic, which is sure to have the place rocking. The night also features favourite local band Cornerstone, and a dance party until 1am, with DJ Omar. More info on the full programme available at northwoodhouse.org/events.
