Newport two gun challenge

1 min read

Ian Lockhart, Pete Blackwell and Jim Nolan

Newport and District Rifle Club members turned out at their home range last Sunday to shoot the two gun challenge.

Competitors who take up this challenge must be highly competent with both smallbore and gallery rifles. Shot over five stages, entrants have to shoot a chalk disc with as few shots as possible, then use their remaining rounds to score, as best they can, within a time limit.

The fastest and most accurate shot on the day was Ian Lockhart, second Pete Blackwell, with Jim Nolan third.
