New property advice service in Ventnor

A new business has opened in Ventnor, called Coates Property & Financial Solutions.

The venture is owned by David Coates, who has been an estate agent since 1987. He has bought, sold and advised on property development, new homes planning, and financing residential and commercial opportunities worldwide.

David said: “I have previously written for both the East Anglian Daily Times and also the Financial Times because of my knowledge in both property and financial services.

“One of the main reasons I came to the Island is to share my skills and knowledge with people here. Clearly, they are not getting the ability to access high level services and companies from the mainland, and I can bridge that link with technology and, of course, knowledge and experience of whom to use and why on a ‘no saving no fee’ basis.

“I recently left my role of the last 10 years as a board of management partner with William H Brown, part of Sequence, a national network of estate agents. The reason I left the role was two-fold; firstly, in Ventnor, there were no dedicated fully independent mortgage advisers here, and the marketing of property seems very different on the mainland, with the innovation of technology paramount to the future of property sales.

“So the idea is to bring this knowledge and expertise to the Isle of Wight as a ‘buyers’ estate agent’. I can provide a fully bespoke service and I am independent and not tied to a large company whose products are being sold clandestinely.”
