Richardson’s Yacht Services has announced an exciting expansion, as they get ready to open a new branch in Cowes at Thetis Wharf, conveniently located by the Floating Bridge. The new venture marks a milestone in the company’s history as it strengthens its commitment to supporting the Isle of Wight’s sailing and boating community.
Scheduled to open in early January, the new location will make access to Richardson’s services even easier for local boat owners. The new branch will feature a fully-stocked chandlery, as well as providing marine engineering services, bringing much-needed convenience to sailors with boats moored in Cowes, with familiar faces, Nick, Steve, Katie and Meg on hand to give advice and help.
While the Cowes branch will focus on engineering and chandlery, Richardson’s has reassured customers that all the existing services on offer at Island Harbour, including boat-building, slipping and chandlery, will continue as usual.
The move is part of a broader growth plan for Richardson’s, with plans to hire an additional marine engineer and expand staffing further by spring 2025. The team believes the new location will expand their role as a trusted provider to the boating community, while building on the high-quality services they’ve become known for over more than 35 years in business.
Carla Richardson said: ‘’Terry and I are extremely excited with this new venture and know it is only possible with the support of our great team and loyal customers.’’
The opening will be celebrated with a launch event in the New Year. Keep an eye on their website and social media channels for further updates.
