Monkton Street in Ryde will be closed from 07:00 this morning (Thursday) to enable roadworks to be completed.
Island Roads have confirmed that the road will be closed from its junction with Bellvue Road to its junction with East Street – a distance of 29 metres.
The closure is to allow operatives to carry out channelling repair works in a narrow section of the carriageway.
Motorists are being diverted via Bellevue Road, Dover Street, East Street. Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the road is closed.
