Jay Miller’s welcomes their new performer

Beau Wheeler is one of the newest young performers making a name for herself in the world of circus arts. Now aged 17, Beau first discovered a passion for performing aged just 11, and has spent the past four years training at weekends with the Aircraft Circus Academy in London. She now describes circus life as something that chose her as much as she chose it.

Originally from the Isle of Wight, Beau began her journey while still at school, having had no previous connection with circus performance. Her first experience on stage came at the age of 12, and she has since gone on to teach aerial skills to others on the Island.

In recent years, Beau has expanded her skills and travelled to London to continue training and performing. A particular highlight so far has been appearing in Jubox Circus, a production at Aircraft Circus Academy, where she performed a dance trapeze routine – the same act she now brings to Jay Miller’s Circus this summer.

She said: “If working in the circus is your dream, keep chasing it until you live it.”

Beau’s appearance marks a homecoming of sorts, as she performs in front of Island audiences once again – this time as part of a professional show.
